Omer McIntyre, 59, Died at VA Hospital

Omer McIntyre, 59, Morrison, died Monday morning at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines following a brief illness.

Services will be held at 1:30 Thursday in the Reinbeck United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Clell Hickman officiating. Burial will be in the Morrison cemetery. French Funeral Home, Reinbeck is in charge of arrangements.

He was born February 5, 1914, at Grundy Center, a son of Alfred Lee and Daisy McIntyre. He was educated in schools at Grundy Center and Morrison. He served with the Army during World War II.

Survivors are his mother of Morrison; four brothers, LeVerne and Roger, both of Morrison, Dale and Donald, both of Reinbeck; five sisters, Mrs. Charles (Vivian) Bean, Marshalltown, Mrs. Verne (Faye) Lowe, Waterloo, Mrs. Herb (Mae) Beckwith, Dike, Mrs. Howard (Phyllis) Corwin, Reinbeck and Mrs. George (Neva) Brown, Olympia, Washington.
