According to "Jefferson Township Cemeteries" (1999) by Oelwein Genie Society, Jonas E. (Joe) Logan was born 28 June 1868 the son of John and Martha (Fortune) Logan and died 18 October 1933 with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, Iowa.

Elizabeth Jane (Jennie) Logan was born 20 June 1861 the daughter of Jacob and Acsay (McKinney) Miller and died 12 April 1945.

Also buried at Woodlawn is Vern Miller Logan born 1895 and died 17 January 1939. Also on same lot as Vern, "Infant of Ina", July 1943, no marker.

Jonas was listed as J. E. Logan on the Scott township 1900 census and as Joseph on the 1910 Jefferson township, Fayette Co. census. In 1900 they been married 11 years, 3 children, all living: Neva b. June 1892, Vern b. Jan 1895 and Charlie b. Apr 1897. All born in Iowa. Jonas was a farmer.
