Hay Fork Kills Child.
George, the eight-year-old son of G. H. Kutches, was instantly killed on his father’s farm near Tama{sic} by being crushed under a hay fork, which fell upon him from a height of thirty feet. While the father was lifting hay into the barn, the lad ran under the fork, which dropped upon him when the rope accidentally broke. The child’s skull was crushed and one leg was broken. Death was almost instantaneous.

Transcriber's Note: Find a Grave shows this happened in Terril, Iowa. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery in Terril, Dickinson County, Iowa. He was born July 9, 1900 and died July 15, 1908.
