It was lovely to hear from you--and so quickly! I have some information that might be useful to you, that is not yet in the "Archibald" paper posted on my website. (I plan to revise that paper in the next few months, and re-post.) It would be easier to communicate directly, via e-mail. My e-mail address is: rrosent839@aol.com. If you send me an e-mail from your address, then I'll know yours and we can begin to try to figure out who John Weir Patterson's father was. Much of what I have to say to you is too lengthy to be part of a post on this website. By the way, I do NOT descend from Archibald & Anna (Weir) Patterson Years ago I thought I might, and in the process of researching hooked up with a woman--Yvonne Watkin--who descends from a Joseph Patterson who we are 99% sure was Archibald's son, Joseph. She and I have become friends and so I am still trying to help her sort out her Pattersons. If you are amenable to beginning an e-mail correspondence, then we should include her. But, first, I'm hoping to get your e-mail address so we can begin some joint research! Thanks -Janice Rosenthal
