This looks like a possibility for an obituary for his father. Perhaps you could make contact with some of the names in the obituary.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Missouri
June 1, 2008Raymond W. Umbdenstock, 86, Arcadia, Missouri formerly of Jefferson County, died May 20, 2008, at Iron County Hospital in Pilot Knob. He was born March 31, 1922, in Danby, the son of Maynard and Kathryn (Bailey) Umbdenstock. He was a deputy sheriff in the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Alma (Turley) Bange-Umbdenstock; two daughters, Jean M. Knobloch of Festus and Carol (Dr. Mark) Burnett of Colorado; three sons, Gerald (Linda) Umbdenstock of Wyoming, Joe (Veronica) Umbdenstock of Mexico and Wilbur Umbdenstock; his sister, Geneva Simon of Festus; brother, Clifford Umbdenstock of Illinois; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve (Gordon) Umbdenstock; his wife, Grace Umbdenstock; his parents; and two sisters, Martha Carron and Lois Umbdenstock. Memorial service was May 25 at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.
