Lost uncle

I recently found out that I have a half-uncle that barley anyone in my family knows about or will talk about. My Grandfather (Harold Rydberg) was married once before he married my Grandmother.
When he joined the Navy his first wife left him and his son was so mad at him he changed his name to his mothers madien name. I do not know her name but my Half-Uncle's first name is Troy.
I believe that my Grandfather and Troy's Mother were married in Des Moines. I know this is a long shot but if anyone can help with some info or any ideas on what i should do next I would Appreciate it.
