BARR family of Decatur Co., IA

Nancee,

I noticed that you submitted several
historical items on the Barr family
to the Decatur Co., Iowa web page. Do you
have other Barr data for that
county?

My kinswoman Susan Emaline "Emma" Bright
(1866-1951) married Calvin D.
Barr (1856-1942), an Ohio native who lived in
Decatur's Morgan Twp. before
moving to Allerton, Wayne Co., IA in later
life. His known children were
Ralph R., Wanda R., Chassy L. and Calvin
Guinn Barr, and possibly two more. I
found him in the 1895, 1900 and 1920 census
returns.

Do you have any idea who Cal Barr's
parents or siblings were? I know there
were several Barrs in the county, some from
Ohio and some from Indiana, but I
cannot seem to match Calvin with any of them.
Any help or suggestions would
be appreciated. Rick Albright, Merced, CA.
