This couple went on to have a wonderful
family of twelve children. Miss
Olive Shields who played the wedding march
went on to become the sister -
in - law of Alice Street marrying her
brother, Henry J. Street. Henry and
Olive Shields Street were my grandparents.
And I grew up remembering Aunt
Alice and all of her children.And........speaking of
Shields................ In the book
Reflections on
Grand River there are pictures of several men
gathered in the downtown area
of Grand River. One of the men is identified
as Jap Shields. Does anyone
have a clue as to who Jap Shields is. This
is my family and I have no
idea. I even have a professional photo of
my Grandmother, Olive Shields,
with Jap Shields and yet have no idea who he
is! Would appreciate any
information anyone might be able to give me
on this man!Thanks!
