The Colfax Sanitarium was in Colfax, Iowa which is in Jasper county. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, it was quite fameous and people went there to get the "cure", which included drinking their fameous mineral water and taking baths in it. The building still stands and is a mile east of Colfax. I am not sure what it is being used for now.
