This is the obituary for Helen Ruth [Hagan] Hill, as you can see she died in 1971. But there are at least three descendents: Carolyn [Hill] Simpson and husband Don, Norman Hill and wife Shirley, and Denny Hill in Leon at that time.

HELEN RUTH HILL, daughter of Ben and Edith Hagan, was born June 1, 1916 in Mercer County near Saline, Mo. and died February 8, 1971 at the age of 54 years , 8 months, and 8 days.
She grew up in Pleasanton, Iowa where she graduated from high school.
She was united in marriage to Maurice M. Hill February 25, 1935. The resided on a farm near Pleasanton, Iowa where their three children, Carolyn, Norman and Denny were born. In 1964 they moved near Leon, Iowa.
She was an active member of the New Salem Baptist Church.
At the time of her death she was completing her studies for a Licensed Practical Nurse's degree at Southwestern Community College, Creston, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother who died in infancy.
Surviving are her husband Maurice; a daughter Carolyn Simpson and husband Don, Leon; two sons, Norman and wife Shirley, Pleasanton; and Denny of the home; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Orvel Hagan, Lombard, Ill; and Roscoe Hagan, Corydon, Iowa; two sisters, Vera Piper, Lake Ozark, Mo.; and Deloris Standerwick, Carpentersville, Ill.; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
