My grandfather Arthur LeRoy Teter had an older sister by the name of Mary. I have found the spelling to vary:Teter, Teator, Tetter, etc.
Mary and Arthur were children of John Teter and Alvira Brooks, both listed on the 1856 and 1860 Decatur Co., Ia census. Family then moved to Hamburg, Ia and Atchison Co., MO. where I find them again 1900 Atchison census. Have not found Mary listed on any census records, and between 1860 and 1900 seems they disappear, or are hiding well. lol
