As a follow-up to my earlier query, I now have information that Calvin L. Board appears in the 1850 Marion Iowa Federal Census. There are eight children listed. I suspect that Calvin's father might be George Board who moved to Edgar County, Illinois. I believe that some of Calvin's children may have settled in this county.
