Boyer, Solomon Greenbury, son of Solomon and Nancy (Modrell), was born 13 Sep 1831 near Charleston, IL; died 26 May 1916 in Appanoose Co., IA; and was buried in Salem Cemetery near Iconium. He married Cynthia Parrish 16 Aug 1852 in Coles Co., IL. Cynthia, daughter of Abednego Downing and Elizabeth Parrish, was born 14 Oct 1835 in IL; died 11 Jul 1870 in Appanoose Co; and was buried at Salem Cemetery. The pioneer settled in Davis County, IA, during 1853. Solomon and Cynthia were the parents of Matilda Jane, Nancy Elizabeth, Francis Asbury, Amanda Isabelle, Solomon Greenbury, Madison Silas, and Samuel Henderson. Solomon married (2) Sarah Jane Burns.
