I am the 4th great granddaughter of John Hoeye...My family comes from his son David Franklin Hoeye who married Susan Jane Foss and traveled by covered wagon over the Oregon trail from ADEL IOWA to Oregon and settled in Mill City Oregon...I am named after Davids wife Susan Jane and am very proud of that...I am wondering about John Hoeyes life in Ireland..where he came from exactly and who his parents were and any stories about him either in Ireland or in Iowa...(my understanding is David left abruptly after and argument with his father John and never turned back) consequently we have no stories about John and his life i
