Roger Wayne Good, 63, of Bouton, formerly of the Dallas Center-Grimes area, joined his son in heaven on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his home. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Bouton. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peoples Cemetery, Rural Woodward.

Roger was born on July 27, 1948 in Des Moines the son of Harry and Lorraine (Vansickle) Good. He attended school in Dallas Center.

On January 30, 2004 he was united in marriage to Marla Volz and they made their home north of Bouton. Roger was a professional truck driver for 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marla, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Gene and Darlene Volz of Perry, four grandchildren, Tyler, Garrett, Aubrey, and Gracey of Boone. His brothers, Gary Good (Linda) of Grimes and L.J. Cott (Jill) of Texas, his brother-in-law Doug Volz (Rhonda) of Bouton, his sisters-in-law Betty Morman of Woodward and Crystal Goodale (Jeff) of Stockton, California, his nieces and nephews, Russ Morman (Becky) of Perry, Ellyse Fazio (T.J.) and their son Alex of Des Moines. Isaac and Alison Volz of Bouton, Troy Good (Julie) and their daughters and son Josh, Katie and Nikki of Des Moines, Terri Anthony (Trevor) and their children, Tanner and Tatum of Adel and Chris and Jill McBride of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his best friend his son, Marshall Wayne Good, his parents and grandparents, and brother-in-law, Art Morman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Rowley Masonic Home Relay For Life Team and may be left at the funeral home.

Roger has requested that blue jeans and casual wear be worn to his service.
