Joyce Miner age 78, of Perry died on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Perry Bible Church in Perry. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Perry Bible Church. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association and HCI Care Services and may be left at the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Joyce Annette Miner was born on February 3, 1934 at Perry, IA to Ronald Ward and Marjorie M. (Miller) Patterson. She attended Perry Community High School. She was united in marriage to Richard Dale Miner on July 7, 1951 at the First Christian Church in Perry. Joyce was co-owner with her husband Dick at Miner Farm Supply.
Joyce was a member of the First Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, was a voracious book reader, and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Marjorie Patterson, sister, Janet Pearson, and a grandson, Trent Miner.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Dale Miner, Perry, IA, four sons, Jeffery (Diane) Miner, Perry, IA, Daniel (Joelle) Miner, Perry, IA, Mark (Cherlyn) Miner, Perry, IA, and Andrew (Cynthia) Miner, Perry, IA, brother, Steve Patterson, Guthrie Center, IA, grandchildren, Nicholas Miner, Brock Fox, Gavin Fox, Mindy Miner, Calvin Miner, Jenny Miner, Katie Miner, Elizabeth Miner, Rebecca Miner, and Victoria Miner, and great-grandchildren, Avery Miner, and Ridge Fox.
