Dear Ms Wilcox, My father, Ragnar Melin, came from Kyrkhult in 1912 at age 16 on the Olympia, a sister ship to the Titanic that went down earlier that year, both out of Liverpool England. His father was J.O. Melin a banker in Kyrkhult. Dad traveled with his mother's brother, Bernt Olsson, who was born in 1876. Bernt managed a mens residence hall at Cornell University. Dad managed a ranch in Inyo County California than in about 1936 moved to Boise, ID to become a dairy herd producer. Bernt had several other relatives in the U.S. That is Ohlinger out of New York and Carlson out of Chicago and perhaps northern Minnesota. At least Ohlinger came from Kyrkhult. I see on internet there is a "Research Centre" in Kyrkhult, www.arkivcentrum.nu/forskaeng.htm
