Answer to Alysa Hobein...Only took me nearly 10 years to answer but...

My grandmother, Cleone Buell Shaw was the daughter of Jonathan Langworthy Buell and Sarah Candace Henderson. Jonathan Langworthy passed away before I was born at my grandmother's home in Chicago. Her mother, who had left her husband years before to live in St. Louis, finally came to live with my grandmother and grandfather (Dr. Harry Valentine Shaw) in Lake Zurich, Illinois, where my grandfather practiced dentistry. I was born in 1937 and was present when my great grandmother Henderson passed away, along with my mother, Cleone Shaw Slingerland and other family. I am very interested in the Buell history and am also a member of D.A.R. through the Buell side of the family. I do have some documents and stories about the family in Lyons, Iowa (now Clinton) which I would be willing to share.
