Hello: There are several places where you could get a copy of Mary's birth record. Births were recorded at the courthouse beginning in 1880 and are available from the County Recorder's Office,
Clinton County Courthouse Annex, North 3rd Street, Clinton, IA 52732. I believe the cost is $10.00.
The Latter Day Saints have also microfilmed these records. The microfilm is available through a local Family History Center. (Visit www.familysearch.org for more info.) They are also available from the Clinton Public Library.
