Our connection to yet another Michael McANDREW(s) is his 1st wife Honora FEURY, both from Co. Mayo area > PA > IA.
First found on 1860 Carbondale, Luzerne Co., PA Census: Michael 35 Laborer, & Honora 30, with 3 yr. old twin boys James & Thomas, dau. Mary 1 yr.
By 1870 Census they are in Mendon Township, McGregor, Clayton Co., Iowa, Michael 44 Stone Mason, & Hanora 33, (no twins), Mary 11, Terrance 9, Catherine 3, Richard 1.
1880 Census, same Mendon location, Michael 54 Farmer, Hanora 45 died May (on Mortality Schd.), Terance 18, Kathe 13, Richard 11, Winnie 9, Michael 7, Magreth 1, dau. Mary FISHER 22, s-i-l Joseph FISHER 26 Farmer.
1880 Oct. Michael m. Mary GLENNON and declared his parents to be Richard McANDREW & Bridget FINNEGAN. Mary b. Queius, Ireland, dau. of James GLENNON & Mary BENNETT. We do not know if parental sets emigrated from Mayo.
1885 IA State Census, Michael 60, Mary 58, Michael 12, Margarett 5, s-i-l Julia GLENNON 49.
1893, Feb. 2 letter from Honour's sister Margaret MELVIN to Liverpool brother John FUERY concerning b-i-l Michael McANDREWs recent death.
