UPDATE: I have found that Peter C. Petersen and Karen Kristine Petersen (she went by Carrie, or Karen, or Kristine) had their first 4 children in Clinton, Clinton county, Iowa. Any additional information on them to confirm this is greatly appreciated!

Christian Petersen dob July 7 1885
Mary Katrina Petersen dob Feb 27, 1887
Martha Kjerstine Petersen dob July 18, 1889
Earl Martin Petersen dob Sept 3, 1891

I believe they then moved to Ringsted, Emmet co., Iowa shortly after the 4th child was born.
