My great-grandparents Fred and Eliese (Elise) Nelson were born in Denmark and settled in Clinton in 1888. They had two sons, Manno F. Nelson, born in 1893, who became Clinton's town plummer in later years. The other son, Clarence nicknamed "Coxie" was born in approximately 1897. In the 1920 Federal census, he was 23 and living with his parents and working as a "chemist" in a "glucose factory". He married Viola Ladehoff and they had two children, Marylin and Raymond. By the 1930 Federal Census, Viola and the children were living with her parents and she was listed as a widow.
I have heard over the years that Coxie was walking by a service station or market and was run over by a car or carriage. This would have been in approximately 1927 to 1930. He is not buried with his parents in Springale cemetery. How can I find out the circumstances of his death and where he is buried?
Many thanks!
