olive, clinton iowa

I found on the 1856 census the township of Olive in the county of clinton;
Abner vance and was not found on the 1860 census
James vance was found on the 1856 and 1860 can't find the family at all for 1870
my question is how do I find the town of olive since there is no listing for such a town has the name changed I would like to find the cemeteries or death notice for abner vance and his son James
abner dob apprx 1784 death between 1856-1860
James vance dob apprx 1816 death 1860-1880 any help would be appreciated
