I have some information on the family of Emma Emilia Elizabeth Jurgensen and Carl Anton George Jensen family, who lived in DeWitt and Hampshire, Clinton County. They both came from Pellworm island in Schleswig, Germany, between Denmark and Germany. It is highly likely your Jurgensen and Petersen families came from there or an area nearby, as well.

Do you have more detailed information on your Jurgensens? The Danish Archives are putting census records on-line, which include census records for the Pellworm area for some periods when they ruled that area. I am happy to look for more info there but would need more details.
