I am seeking information about my grandmother, Ellen Hayes, and her Hayes family.

My mother often spoke of an Uncle Tom Hayes who sorted mail on a traveling railroad car and her cousin Sister Mary Georgia RSM.

Ellen's father was John Hayes and her spouse was Dennis Kennedy. An 1887 Directory of Clinton, Iowa shows a Tom Hayes Boarding at 335 15th Ave.and a Dennis Kennedy at 334 15th ave.
