My great-grandfather was Truman(Thomas) W. Wilcox who was married to Nancy Martin and later married my great-grandmother Mary I. Stedwell in Cass Co., IA in 1871. I found that in the 1860 US Census for Waterford Twp,Clinton, Co, IA shows Truman,24, born in Canada; Nancy A., 17, born in Indiana; Atto(Otto) S., 1, born in Iowa; & there was a Jacob Martin,60,born in Tennessee living with them. My guess is that Jacob is Nancy's father. Art
