I am trying to verify the birth information for my great-grandfater WILLARD EDGAR CRAMPTON. Death certificate says he was born in Clinton, IA on December 16, 1860.

Are there birth records in Clinton back to 1860?

His father, PARMER CRAMPTON, and mother, AMELIA ISBELL were married in Kane County, Illinois. PARMER joined the 26th Iowa Infantry during the Civil War.
