Tracking Maggie Sears Family

SEARS, SPENCE, VAN VORST, TALLETT, ALGER

We are trying to find information on the 1st husband of Maggie (Mary) Ann Spence Sears.

Things we believe are correct:

Maggie was the daughter of Jesse Spence and Katherine Cabeen from Missouri,
We do not believe she is related to Mary Nye Sears Bailey family of Clinton,
Widow prior to 1880,
One son William Sears born 1872 who married Katie Alger of Morrison in 1893,
Katie Alger's sisters were married to William Tallett of Clinton,
Maggie may have lived on 5th Ave in Clinton,
Maggie remarried a Daniel Van Vorst in 1888,
She passed away in 1904 followed a few months latter by her son who was accidentally shot by Chicago Police,
They are buried in Springdale Cemetery in Clinton.

We are trying to track the Sears name and are stopped with Maggie's 1st husband but, welcome any correspondence with the above mentioned surnames to share information.
