Hi. Thanks for responding. My Lewis Ziegenfus is married to Serepta (POTTER) Preston. On the 1900 census Lewis is listed as having four children living in the home. This was a second marriage for both Lewis and Serepta, she having divorced her first husband and his first wife having died after 1880. The names of the children are: Alice R. born Mar.1877, Paul W. born Mar. 1882, David G. born Jun. 1885 and Ruth born Jul. 1887. According to the 1900 census, Lewis was a railroad conductor. Does any of this information match what you have for the Ziegenfus'?
