Thank you to all those who supplied information regarding the Tinker family. They are of no relation to me - I am conducting general research on those that served with the 27th Iowa Infantry during the Civil War, many of which were from Clayton County and surrounding area. I have been collecting items related to the 27th for many years now. I have quite a few items relating to the Garber family from Elkport, specifically Hezekiah Garber. I will post a new thread for further discussion. Thank you again to all those that helped with this research.
