Funeral services for Daniel Harding, 76, former Elkader resident, were conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's church, Elkader, with the Rev. Cletus J. Hawes officiating at the requiem mass. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Harding died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, Dec. 27, at 981 Bluff St., Dubuque, where he had made his home since 1949.

He was born Jan. 31, 1880, at Mederville, son of William and Catherine Finnegan Harding.

Survivors are; three sons, Edward, James and Jay Harding, Altoona, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Soult, Altoona, and Mrs. Elizabeth Ploog, Dubuque; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Virgil Uriell, Clarence Lynch, Lawrence Downey, Wilson Downey, Roland Walz, Strawberry Point, and Ed. Butler, Dubuque.
