VOLGA: Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 29, at 10 o'clock at Sacred Heart church here for Mrs. P. B. Glennon, 74, who died last Friday evening in the Chicago Memorial hospital in Chicago, after a six weeks illness due to heart trouble. The Rev. Father J. P. Hammil of Edgewood sang the requiem high mass and officiated at the graveside.

Mary Veronica Molumby was born January 06, 1867 on the Molumby farm, one mile north of Volga City, the daughter of David and Catherine Murphy Molumby. While still a child, she moved with her parents to a farm four miles south of Volga City where she lived continuously for seventy years.

She was united in marriage to Peter B. Glennon, February 15, 1898. Four children were born to this union, three daughters and one son Leo, who died in infancy. Her husband also preceded her in death February 17, 1936.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mrs. M. I. Shepherd and Miss Kathryn Glennon, Chicago, and Mrs. John A. Larson of Anaheim, Calif., four grandchildren and a brother, Arthur Molumby of Madison, S.D., a niece Mrs. Esther Paftis Perry of Oelwein who made her home with Mrs. Glennon for a number of years, also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Glennon was a member of the Sacred Heart league and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.

Her casket bearers were: William Goodin, Frank Cox, William Hoskyn, Frank O'Brien, Thomas Conboy and Frank Phillips. Burial was in the family lot in Sacred Heart cemetery, Volga City.

Among those from out-of-town who attended the last rites were: Mrs. John A. Larson, Anaheim, Calif.; Mrs. M. J. Shepherd, John and Mary Catherine and Miss Kathryn Glennon, Chicago; Mrs. Johanna Ament, Hopkinton; Dr. and Mrs. L. F. Molumby, M. J. and Patricia, West Union; Mrs. Ray Perry, D. J. Raftis and son Junior, Oelwein; Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Quinn and J. J. Conboy, Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bink, Miss Anna Poull and Miss Irene Corker, Elkader; Mrs. Bert Erickson, Mary, Tom and Ellen Flanagan, Wadena; Mr. and Mrs. John Wiley, Littleport; Mrs. Melvin Weigle, Oelwein.
