Mrs. Hallie Walker, 71, of Oelwein, Ia., formerly of Strawberry Point, died Saturday at her home in Oelwein.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brandt Funeral Home at Oelwein, where friends may call. Burial will be in the Strawberry Point Cemetery.

Surviving are two brothers, James Donaldson of Oelwein, and Louis Donaldson of Mahomet, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Rhodes of Indio, Calif., Mrs. Ruth Postal of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Caroline Lindgren of Donovan, Ill.

Mrs. Hallie Walker, 72, died Saturday, April 1 1972 at her home in Oelwein, Iowa. She was born on July 1, 1899 in Ramsey, Illinois, the daughter of Seth and Lillie Merriman Donaldson.

On July 3, 1922 she was united in marriage to Welby Walker of Strawberry Point, Iowa. The couple lived there until his death on December 14, 1961.

For many years, Mrs. Walker was an active member of the W.S.C.S. of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, James H. Donaldson of Oelwein, Lewis H. Donaldson of Mahomet, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Postal of St. Petersburg, Florida, Mrs. Mildred Rhodes of Indio, California, and Mrs. Caroline Lindgren of Donovan, Illinois. Two brothers, Fay Donaldson and Tracy Donaldson preceded her in death. Also she was preceded by her parents, husband, Welby, and two sisters in infancy.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 4, 1972 at 1:30 p.m. in the Brant Chapel of Oelwein, Rev. Warren Paige officiated. Bearers were Ray Bartels, Elmer Rasmussen, Carl Schmidt, Walter Kingsland, Ollie Scholz, and Harry Chase. Burial was in Strawberry Point Cemetery.
