Miss Patricia Ann Donlon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Donlon, Elkader, became the bride of Ransom Milbrandt, son Of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milbrandt, Rochester, Minn. The ceremony took place in St. Joseph's church, Elkader, April 14. The Rev. Luke Donlon, pastor of St. Patrick's church, Monona, great uncle of the bride, officiated. Acolytes were Patrick Donlon and Robert Palmer, both cousins of the bride. Mrs. Helen Schumacher, Rochester, Minn., was matron of honor, and Miss Arlene Donlon, Elkader, and Miss Ruth Braun, Rochester, acted as bridesmaids. Mr. Glen Schumacher, Rochester, Minn., friend of the couple, was groomsman, and ushers were Gene Schumacher, Rollingstone, Minn., and James Miehe, Elkader. Present at the ceremony was Mrs. Eva Bauer, maternal grandmother of the bride.
In the afternoon, a reception was held at the Vet's Club, at which the center of the table was covered by a lace cloth crocheted by Mrs. Eva Bauer. Mrs. Mary Reimer, sister of the bride, cut the wedding cake and Miss Mildred Pecinvosky, Rochester, poured.
Mrs. Milbrandt is a graduate of St. Joseph's school, Elkader, and since her graduation has been employed at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn. Mr. Milbrandt is a graduate of Elgin high school, Elgin, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Milbrandt plan to live in Spokane, Wash., where he will be stationed after reporting for service May 01.
