Wiley - Glennon marriage - 1941

VOLGA CITY: Oct. 27, in Sacred Heart church, Miss Doris Marie Glennon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Glennon, Volga City, became the bride of John Wiley, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wiley of Littleport. The Rev. D. T. Noonan, pastor, officiated. Mrs. Zita Humbert, cousin of the bride, was organist. Miss Katherine Wiley, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, and Cecil Glennon, brother of the bride, served as best man.

The bride is a graduate of the Volga City high school and also a graduate of Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. For the past several years she has taught in the Garnavillo and Calmar public schools. The groom is engaged in farming with his father, where the new home will be made.
