HENRY C. VOGT AND WILHELMINA BAHLKE

Henry Vogt and Wilhelmina Bahlke, b. 27 Seat 1862, were married 29 Mar 1880 at Clayton Center by Rev. Seifert. Their children were Fred George, b. 15 Dec 1881, Read Township, and Siene Anna Sophia (aka Zina and Seana), b. 11 Seat 1893, Farmersburg Township.

Fred G. married Leona Schmidt who was born in 1885 and died in 1965. They had no children. Fred died 16 Mar 1960 and is buried at Clayton Center.

Seana married Glendor Hamann 22 Nov. 1912. They were the parents of two sons, Milton Fred, b. 24 Nov. 1914, and Lorraine Henry, b. 19 Feb. 1916, both in Farmersburg Twp.

~The information was collected by Judy and Jerry Moyna, from family members, especially Lillian (Vogt) Oelke Glawe, Marinette (Oelke) Bender Bink Olson, Arma Jean Newbern, Elkader, Rueben Muellers, St. Olaf, Floyd and Ora Schroeder, Guttenberg, Iowa, several histories of Clayton County including 1882 and 1912 and 1984, from various Iowa and Federal census records, several newspapers from the county including the Clayton County Journal, The Elkader Register, and the Clayton County Register, etc.

Plans include scanning available photographs, post cards, plat maps, and other appropriate printed material and the continuation of the excerpts from the local newspapers. A print out of the descendants of the Vogts is already on computer. Copies on a computer disk of the Family Tree Maker information and the text shown here are available to anyone who wants to add information to that now on file. Also, any additions and corrections, text or pictures, or contributions are more than welcome. Facilities exist to copy and return photographs. Contact Judy via her email address.
