Dorothea Mae Chamberlain, 92, died on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center in Des Moines. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Union Chapel Cemetery, in Freemont Township, 3 miles northeast of Osceola.

Dorothea was born the daughter of John R. and Bertha G. Stull Chamberlain on December 17, 1912 in Osceola. She was a 1931 graduate of Osceola High School.

In 1933, Dorothea moved to Des Moines and was employed as a domestic companion for the late Mollie Goldman, whom had shared her home for nearly 40 years. She was a member of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church and West Des Moines Women's Club. Dorothea will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothea is survived by her brother, Don Chamberlain of Fort Collins, CO; one niece, Donna Chamberlain of Dillsberg, PA; and one nephew, F. Wayne Chamberlain of Durango, CO.
