Ruth Stark Camp, Osceola

G. Ruth Stark Camp, 78, of Osceola, died Aug. 24, 1997, at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon. Funeral services will be today, Wednesday, August 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Osceola with the Rev. Fred Rohlfs officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Clarke County.
She was born to John Leslie and Esther Cole Stark on April 18, 1918 in Clarke County. She was educated in Decatur and Clarke County rural schools. On May 3, 1942, she married Leonard J. Camp in Jefferson City, MO. She was a homemaker and a nurse at Harkin's Hospital Clarke Medical Clinic in Osceola for 15 years before retiring in 1978. She lived in Clarke County all her life. She was a member of the B.P.W. and the First Christian Church in Osceola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; infant siblings, and an infant son.
Surviving relatives include her husband; one daughter, Judith Ann Obermoller and husband Larry of Okoboji; one son, John Camp and wife Jane of Osceola; three brothers, Neil Stark and wife Goldie of Grand River, Edgar Stark and wife Georgie of Creston, Merlin Stark and wife Lois of Eagle Grove; eight sisters, Oneta Redman of Osceola, Doris Redman of Osceola, Ruby Stark of Eagle Grove, Bessie Mason and husband Jr. of Waco, Texas, Ellen Peterson and husband David of Grand River, Martha Reasoner of Indianola, Marjorie Akes and husband Gerald of Grimes, JoAnn Brink and husband Don of Raytown, Mo; four granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
