Death came Wednesday, June 24, after an illness of several weeks. He was 73.

Dwight was born March 24, 1880, at Polk City, Iowa, the youngest child of Rev. John and Elizaeth Faith Grawe.
Upon the death of his father, the family retired to make their home in Bradford. Here, Dwight attended the Bradford School and later graduated from the Nashua High School, Class of 1897. He was graduated from Grinnell College, Iowa, in 1907.
He entered the teaching profession thereafter. In 1909, he was married to Clio M. Laird. He was in the teaching profession for 20 years, much of this time as a superintendent of schools.
He left teaching and entered the printing trade, to which he brought a passion for fine, precise work and craftsmanship. He began with The Nashua Reporter in 1927, and continued in the newspaper shop until two or three years ago, when he retired. During the last three years, he had assisted in the operation of a souvenir shop near The Little Brown church.
Mr. Grawe also served Nashua for many years as town clerk.
At the time of his death, he was a deacon of the First Congregational church where he had previously served as superintendent of the Sunday School Clerk of the church and as a member of the choir. His deep, rolling bass voice will long be remembered.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Winifred (Mrs. Harold Garland of Dubuque); two granddaughters, a sister, Mrs. Eva James of Snohomish, Wash.; and a brother, Fred Grawe of Jordan, Ia.
