—A. S. Felt, founder of the town of Portland and a resident of Cerro Gordo county since 1855, died from paralysis last Saturday.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Dec. 1, 1833 and died April 7, 1895. He is buried in Elmwood St. Joseph Cemetery.
