Funeral services for Mrs. James (Florence M. "Kate") Pentzel, 79, were held at the South Bethel Methodist church March 30 with the Rev. Norman Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl and Hilbert Nebergall, Larry Mueller, Jerry McMichael, DeWayne Hensong and Dan Hannes. Sharon Stiff was organist.

Mrs. Pentzel died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, March 27.

The daughter of Ray A. and Phoebe J. Ford Nebergall, she was born near Tipton Jan. 31, 1910 and was educated in the Cedar county rural schools. She married James F. Pentzel Sr. at Keosauqua Sept. 12, 1959.

Mrs. Pentzel spent her life in the Tipton area where she was a homemaker and cared for people in their homes. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Ransom (Melva) Mueller, Tipton and Mrs. Merle (Mildred) Waugh, Tampico, Ill. and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one nephew.
