October 15, 1986 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Eliza) Winter, 92, were held at First United Church of Christ Oct. 11 with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Burial was in Van Horn cemetery, Lowden. Pallbearers were Wes Miller, Robert Dircks, Phillip Thein, Bruce and Brad McQuillen and Harley Fisher. Diane Moon was vocalist and Betty Trevathan organist.

Mrs. Winter died at Cedar Manor Oct. 9.

The daughter of Fred H. and Anna Richmann Dircks, she was born at Lowden Feb. 10, 1894. She was educated in the Lowden Public schools. Her marriage to Frank W. Winter took place at Lowden Oct. 8, 1913. A homemaker, she was a lifelong resident of Cedar county.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, First United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth, Powell, Wyo.; a foster daughter, Mrs. Lee (Angie) McQuillen, Tipton; a granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
