Funeral services for Margaret Gerlits, 90, Coralville, and formerly of West Branch, will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 30 at Donohue-Lensing Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Downing officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. Gerlits died July 26 at her son's home in Coralville after a sudden illness.

The daughter of Curtis and Emaline Hempstead Endsley, she was born April 21, 1896 in West Branch. She married Dr. William B. Gerlits July 2, 1915. He died in 1967.

Mrs. Gerlits resided in Iowa City for the past 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist church and Elks Ladies. She was also active in bridge clubs.

She is survived by a son, Dr. D. W. Gerlits, Coralville; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
