Funeral services for Edna Handley, 88, Iowa City, and formerly of Tipton, will be held at 2 p.m. June 11 at Callahan's with the Rev. Allen Eastland officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery in Tipton.
Mrs. Handley died June 8 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.
She was born in Tipton Jan. 13, 1898 and married Brady Handley June 14, 1918 in Iowa City. She and her husband farmed in the Tipton, West Branch and Solon areas and retired to Sun City, Ariz. in 1970, returning to Iowa City in 1972.
Mrs. Handley was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Robert, Marion, Ind. and John, North Liberty; a daughter, Helen Mantz, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
