Private family services for Bruce A. (Bud) Thompson, 76, were held at the West Branch cemetery May 18. Mr. Thompson died at the Crestview Care center May 16. His body was cremated.

The son of Bruce and Sadie Siler Thompson, he was born in Cedar county Dec. 2, 1909. He was married to Agnes Ruzek in Rock Island, Ill. Sept. 6, 1932. He farmed in Cedar county until retiring in 1969. He was a member of the United Methodist church in West Branch.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lorene) Thomas, West Branch and Mrs. William (Linda)) Hatfield, Belvidere, Ill.; a son, Larry, West Branch; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, West Branch and Mrs. Hazel Butler, Santa Ana, Calif.
