Allan Kite, 47, of Atlantic died of a heart attack Tuesday at Cass County Memorial Hospital there. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Atlantic. Cremation will follow services. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.
Mr. Kite was born in Harlan and had lived there until moving to Atlantic in 1979. He was the co-owner of the Engine Shop in Atlantic and director of plant operations with Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon. He enjoyed fishing, working on engines and lawn and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Kristie; a son, Alex of Ames; a daughter, Anna Kite, at home; his mother, Joanne Kite of Harlan; and a brother, Alvin, and a sister, Debra Kay Buck, both of Harlan.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the church, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Mullen Funeral Home in Atlantic is handling arrangements.
