WILLEY--Requiem mass for Leo Mayer, 43, of Willey was celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Church here by the Rev. Cleo Seuntjens. A nephew, Gary Snyder, was lector. The Rev. Henry Meyer of Dedham also was in the sanctuary.

Pallbearers were Roger Halbur, Tom Snyder, Kenneth Mayer, Michael Schaeffer, Allen Hansohn and Ronald Mayer. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The Sharp Funeral Home of Carroll was in charge of arrangements.

Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Chicago, Ill.; Omaha, Neb.; Manning, Gray, Ames, Halbur, Roselle, Templeton, Breda, Fort Dodge and Carroll.

Mr. Mayer, owner and operator of Mayer's Tavern in Willey, died unexpectedly of a heart ailment Dec. 29.
