Sandra,
The courthouse has not burned down. Nevertheless, Bremer County vital records and many other state and federal records have been preserved both on film, libraries and online. I take it that you are just beginning your search for her life story. Is that correct?
A general principle that is helpful is to work from what you know in the recent past and work backwards.
For instance do you have an obituary for her? Often its the best source of biographcal information on most persons.

I will take a look this afternoon at some preliminaries and get back to you. meanwhile if you could make alist about items that document her life that you may have that would be helpful.

I am not related but I do this as a hobby.
