The Wixcel connection to Bremer County is the Goodenbour family of Tripoli, Beryle Goodenbour married Lloyd who along with nearly all the Wixcel family had settled in Waterloo by 1935.
I have already tried without result some archival sources such as NUCMC from the Library of Congress.

I would try the following:
Archivist at Iowa State Historical society in Iowa City.
Newspapers from about 1928-1935 of Marcus or nearby cities which may be available on microfilm from the ISHS in Iowa City.
Newspapers from Waterloo for the Obit of Samuel Wixcel who died there in 1959.
Andrew Wixcel of Dallas TX son of Lloyd, Reach him through Legal Hospice of Texas, 3626 N. Hall Suite 820, Dallas, TX 75219.
