I did find Hans Naeve and family in 1880 in Boone, Iowa.

Listed are:

Hans - 40 - Farmer
Maggie- 34 - Keeping House
Emma - 7
Kate - 4
Sophia - 2
John - 4M
George - Brother - 37 - Carpenter

and John Jones listed as "other" under relation. He was 19 at the time and a farm laborer.

has all adults listed as Prussia for their birthplace.
